Yes I'm still here but have been busy. I've done lots of extra hours at work over the last two weeks including day shifts and night shifts due to one of our members of staff dying suddenly. Eugene sadly died two weeks ago of a brain haemorrhage, but he was an organ donor and at least 6 people today have a better life ahead of them. We had a love hate relationship, he was a real git and not brilliant at his job, but I feel sad for him that in his last few hours of his life he suffered alone, he might of been a git but he didn't deserve that. So RIP Eugene.
Talking of donors my hubby Andy has been a blood donor since he was 18yrs and has now donated over 75 pints of blood. Last Tuesday we went to a presentation lunch at Ipswich Town Football Club for donors from Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk who have donated 75+ and 100+ pints of blood. It was a lovely afternoon.
I'm also in the middle of making my nephew Matthew and his future wife Sophie's wedding stationary. I'm hoping to get them all finished by the end of the month. They're based on an idea I got from the Crafts You Love website using the lovely Marianne dies. The embossing folder is an 8x8 Embossilcious by Crafters Companion.
I've also done a bit of scrapbooking. The christmas layout is one I designed for the January Bramford crop kit, which completely sold out. I used Kaisercraft christmas papers which were really lovely. The middle layout is of my DD Emily and her friend Hannah when we went to the Harry Potter Studio Tour last July. The last layout is of my DS1 Aaron when he was a baby, I've still to put a title on it.
The last photo is of my DD Emily in her Monkey Suit Onesie we bought her for Christmas!
Did I tell you all I finished my Diplomia in Health and Social Care and I've passed! WHoop, whoop, whoop. I'm just waiting for my certificate and return of my folder. I finished it the end of November...my fellow work mates are still plodding on, so I feel rather smug and chuffed with myself.
Well lots to do, like putting another load of washing out to dry...I'm making the most of the dry blustery weather and I've a pile of ironing to do...yuck my pet hate.
