I'm freezing!

Don't know about you but the past couple of weeks I just can't keep warm. The snow in our back garden is still as thick as it was the first day it snowed, so it just proves how cold it's been this past week for it not to melt..............does look pretty though.

Using my son's laptop as we've at long last taken our sick computer to be fixed, hoping to hear from them tomorrow. Might be a case of cheaper to buy a new tower and quicker. I don't like laptops, just can't get the hang of them.!!!

Just to let all my Bramford crop challenge girls know I've finished my frame, I am getting ahead of myself even made a start on the book, well glued some pages together.LOL

The above photo is of our cat Guss as you can see he likes the cosy life!! He's as darft as a brush he loves chasing falling snow and will sit in the pouring rain, we think he might have been dropped on his head as a kitten! He is a lovely cat though, turned up on our door as a stray 3 years ago, vet reckoned he was approx 5 years old at the time. He's a big old boy too, massive great paws.

Naughty but...............................

Went to Papermaze crop on Saturday had a lovely day with my crafty friends. Vanessa opened the store room(shop not open yet........soon though) and now everything has 65% off, so I stocked up on bazzill cardstock, mainly shades of green. I did a naughty and have just placed another order for some papers and cardstock...............prizes for Bramford crop monthly free prize draw.
I worked last night, 12hr wake night shift. Been to bed today so had some sleep, head now feels fuzzy. Hope I sleep well tonight.
Have you seen the new Sunday night mini series 'Call the Midwife' ? I enjoyed last weeks, will watch last nights tonight, so looking forward to that.
Having a sort out in my craftroom.....yet again! Trying to get it more organised and less stuff left on the floor. Hope to do some crafting too this week. Saturday off to Create and Co crop which I'm looking forward to as I tend to get more done there, probably cos I don't natter quite so much.
Craft show next week to look forward to aswell.

War Horse

Went to see the new film by Steven Speillberg WAR HORSE today..............a great film but if you are an animal lover it'll bring tears to your eyes. Just proves it was'nt just the soldiers who were brave in the First World War, the horses were too. can'nt wait for it to come out on DVD now. If you go to see it just take a tissue in with you!

Family Meal Out

Friday already, where has this week gone as I don't seem to have done anything apart from work and housework.
Went out for a family meal last night at the Thrasher on Ransomes euro park, to celebrate Aaron's(DS1) 21st birthday which was on the 4th January. We had a lovely meal, you certainly get your money's worth the food was lovely. We had a lovely time and it was nice for all 3 siblings to get together and have a laugh.
Computer woes, we've decided to see if it's worth have this one sorted out or just go and buy a new one..................will see at the end of the month. Will no doubt go for Windows 7 instead of XP. As Tim has his own laptop and Emily her own netbook and Aaron does'nt live at home it's just Andy and myself who uses our computer, so no clogging up the memory with all the kids stuff. I do miss not being able to upload photos at the mo' cos the XP won't let me, infact as I said in an earlier post it's shot to pieces, gone on a long holiday and not coming back.LOL
Working tonight, it's my fortnightly Friday sleep-in. Tomorrow is a free day, no crops to go too will seem strange. The next 3 Saturdays will be crops.....yipee.
Well, I've finished off my ironing, the house is clean so I think I'm going to go and do abit of crafting. I've a couple of layouts that need titles putting on them...............

Need some time to craft

No I do have some time to craft really but just can't summon up the inspiration. I think it's because it was my weekend at work and with the lack of sleep over the past 5 days my brain is dead.LOLHad the Bramford crop on Saturday, well supported as usual. It was an enjoyable day, I did'nt do any scrapping just chatted and caught up with friends. Got the Papermaze and Create and Co crops to go too this month so will get stuff done then.
I'm going to have a cardmaking marathon sometime soon too, to use up all those odds n ends I save.
Should be going to a Creative Stitches and Craft show at Bluewater on the 2nd Feb, not too sure if we'll be going to Ally Pally this April, the boat is still out on that one. Don't need anything(!) but a crafty day out will be nice.
Well now got to brave Asda to do the fortnightly shop, oh what fun.

We near the end of 2011

Where has this year gone?! I'm sure I shut my eyes the 1st January 2011 and woke up today 30th December.LOL Well that's what it feels like.
Hope you all had a lovely christmas, ours was quite quiet...........not the same now the children are older. I had to work Christmas night so I wanted a chill out day . I only got a couple of crafty pressies, a 12x12 deep frame box, a lovely set of Tim Holtz stamps and some bakers twine. I was pleased with that as I'd only asked for the frame. What do you get a crafter who has most things and who needs to use up what they already have????My paper stash is going down, but oh what will the new year bring, I have been thinking about a stash diet and for how long I could stick to it.I shall do my best NOT to buy anything in January as we intend going to Bluewater craft show in February(it's normally at the NEC), not that I'll need anything.
I'm catching up on all the DT stuff I've to do, I've done my January L/O for Scrapbook Sisters monthly blog challenge(check them out, address at side of this page). I've also been asked again to do a L/O and a card for the Docrafts Creativity mag in March(Jan issue now out) using the new Papermania Portobello Rd range of papers, ribbons, stamps etc...........these are quite nice papers, so check them out. I've still to come up with the Bramford crop kit for Feb by next weekend.
I've had a bit of a sort out(yet again) in my craft room and decided to sell my Cuttlebug. I've a Big Shot and find I tend to use that more now.
Still can't upload any photos. My nephew reckons my Windows XP is the problem, it just is'nt working and has pinched all my files and disappeared with them.................will be taking to the Computer Dr in the next couple of weeks.

Computer woes!

My computer has decided to play up and won't let me sign into my account, will let me sign into the pc Administrator..............but that's no good when 99% of my stuff is on MY ACCOUNT. Got to wait until Wedsnesday when my nephew will come round to try and sort it out. To make things worse I can't even get into the control panel as the bar for that has disappeared too!!!!! I never thought I would miss things to do with a computer as I'm a real Techno Phobe.
Spent the whole day with lots of friends at two different crops(yeh I know I'm greedy) scrapping.
In the morning I went to Papermaze crop, Vanessa opened the remains of the shop for awhile so we could all get some real scrappin bargins( thanks very much for my stuff Vanessa), then in the afternoon it was onto the Create and Crop at Martlesham where I stayed until nearly 9pm.
Over the course of the day I managed 4 layouts and some lovely makes and takes at Create and Crop.
Some exciting news this week in that I've been asked back to do another feature in the Docrafts March Creativity mag. They've sent me some really lovely Papermania Portobello Rd products, which is new for January(see their mag due out 3rd Jan). It's geared up for the Olympics and really great for any photos you've taken in London or for making cards for men. Can't share any of my creating with you, you'll just have to buy the mag in March!
Are you ready for Christmas? No nor am I. Loads of presents still to wrap. A couple still to get including Emily's birthday which is this coming Thursday.........my baby will be 17yrs! Aaron will be 21yrs January 4th, where do the years go?
I've several scrapbooking bits to get done this week inbetween working 4 night shifts(in over Christmas), dentists, finish off shopping etc. I have done my design team work for Scrapbook Sisters January Scrapbook Challenge, so was quite pleased with myself.

Well my friends I'd like to wish you all a Very Happy Christmas, hope Santa is good to you and leave you something crafty.
